Description

Immobilon®-P PVDF Western Blotting Membrane, 0.45 µm – Millipore | 27 cm × 3.75 m Roll

Immobilon®-P is Millipore’s benchmark PVDF membrane for western blot protein transfer and one of the most cited blotting membranes in the scientific literature. The 0.45 µm pore size delivers high protein binding capacity and is particularly suited for standard through high molecular weight proteins. The hydrophobic PVDF matrix provides exceptional mechanical strength, enabling multiple stripping and re-probing cycles without membrane degradation or significant signal loss — an important advantage for multi-target detection from a single blot. Immobilon-P is fully compatible with wet and semi-dry transfer systems, and with all standard detection methods including enhanced chemiluminescence (ECL), alkaline phosphatase or HRP colorimetric substrates, and fluorescent secondary antibodies. Brief methanol activation is required before use. Supplied as a 27 cm × 3.75 m bulk roll for custom cutting to any blot format.
