The RFM340-T is a laboratory-grade digital refractometer from Bellingham + Stanley (a Xylem brand) offering 3-decimal place Brix measurement across a 0–100 Brix range with touchscreen control and integrated Peltier temperature control for thermostated measurement at a defined sample temperature. Peltier heating and cooling of the measurement prism ensures that readings are taken at a controlled, reproducible temperature rather than varying with ambient conditions — eliminating the need for manual temperature correction and significantly improving measurement repeatability. The wide-beam optical design tolerates non-homogeneous or particulate-containing samples such as suspensions, emulsions, and concentrates without the beam scattering errors common in narrow-beam instruments.
