PTFE micro magnetic stir bars are designed specifically for applications requiring stirring in extremely small volumes where conventional stir bars cannot be used. Their miniature dimensions allow them to operate effectively inside microcentrifuge tubes, sample vials, NMR tubes, micro-reactors, and other small-scale laboratory containers that are common in modern analytical, biochemical, and pharmaceutical research workflows.
Despite their small size, these bars deliver reliable and consistent mixing performance, ensuring homogeneous sample preparation in microvolume analytical techniques, enzyme assays, cell culture applications, and high-throughput screening. Manufactured entirely from high-purity PTFE, they are chemically inert and introduce absolutely no contamination into sensitive samples. The smooth non-stick surface prevents sample adhesion and allows thorough cleaning or autoclaving between uses.
Available in 10 size variants with diameters from 1.5 mm to 3 mm and lengths from 2 mm to 15 mm, this range provides precise size selection to match the specific vessel being used. All sizes are compatible with standard and micro magnetic stirrer hotplates.
