PTFE plain cylindrical magnetic stir bars are the most widely used stir bar format in laboratory settings, valued for their simplicity, reliability, and universal compatibility. The smooth cylindrical body spins cleanly on a flat surface, creating efficient liquid circulation suitable for beakers, flasks, bottles, and a broad range of laboratory containers.

Manufactured from high-purity PTFE, these bars are chemically inert and resistant to virtually all laboratory chemicals including concentrated acids, strong bases, organic solvents, and oxidising agents. No metallic or polymer contamination is introduced into samples, making them safe for trace analysis, pharmaceutical work, and any application demanding the highest levels of chemical purity.

The smooth non-stick PTFE surface prevents sample adherence and simplifies cleaning, whether by rinsing, sonication, or autoclaving. Available in 18 size variants spanning diameters from 3 mm to 13 mm and lengths from 10 mm to 90 mm, this range covers applications from small reaction vials to large beakers. All sizes are compatible with standard magnetic stirrer hotplates.
