Description
PTFE Retriever, Laboratory Grade – China (9 mm × 340 mm)
The PTFE retriever is a solid cylindrical rod used primarily for retrieving magnetic stir bars from laboratory vessels after use. When working with corrosive, toxic, or highly reactive liquids, conventional metal retrievers risk contamination or chemical attack, making a fully inert PTFE retriever the only safe and practical option.
Manufactured from high-purity PTFE, this retriever is resistant to virtually all laboratory chemicals including concentrated acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents, and oxidising agents. It can be immersed directly into reaction mixtures, digestion solutions, or analytical samples without introducing any contamination or reacting with the contents.
The slim cylindrical profile and smooth non-stick surface allow easy insertion into narrow vessel openings and effortless retrieval of stir bars and other small items. The rod’s length of 340 mm provides sufficient reach for standard laboratory beakers, flasks, and digestion tubes while remaining easy to handle. Being autoclavable, it can be sterilised between uses in biological or pharmaceutical applications.
Supplied in packs of 10, making them practical for high-throughput laboratories or facilities maintaining multiple workstations.
