PTFE beakers are among the most chemically inert laboratory vessels available, manufactured from Polytetrafluoroethylene — a fluoropolymer renowned for its near-universal chemical resistance. These beakers are specifically designed for laboratories working with highly corrosive reagents, concentrated acids, strong alkalis, and aggressive solvents that would rapidly degrade glass or conventional plastic containers.
The non-stick PTFE surface prevents sample adhesion and cross-contamination, making cleaning straightforward even after handling viscous or reactive substances. The material’s inherent hydrophobicity ensures liquids drain cleanly and completely, which is especially important in trace analysis, gravimetric work, and high-purity applications where contamination must be eliminated.
With a temperature resistance of up to approximately 260 °C, these beakers are suitable for moderate heating applications and can be autoclaved without deformation. Their translucent white appearance allows approximate visual assessment of contents, while the stable flat base and pouring spout support safe handling and controlled liquid transfer.
