Description
PTFE Cross-Shaped Magnetic Stir Bars – China (CR-01 to CR-07)
PTFE cross-shaped magnetic stir bars are designed for use with magnetic stirrer hotplates in routine and demanding laboratory applications. The cross or plus-shaped geometry provides superior mixing efficiency compared to standard cylindrical bars, as the four-arm design creates greater turbulence and more uniform liquid circulation, particularly useful in wide-base vessels, shallow containers, and multi-well setups.
Manufactured entirely from high-purity PTFE, these stir bars are chemically inert and resistant to virtually all laboratory solvents, acids, alkalis, and oxidising agents. This ensures zero contamination of samples during stirring, making them suitable for analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical research, biochemical assays, and trace analysis where even minor metallic or polymer contamination is unacceptable.
The smooth PTFE surface prevents sample adherence and makes cleaning straightforward, either by rinsing, sonicating, or autoclaving. Unlike metal-core stir bars with PTFE coating, these bars maintain their integrity even when the surface is exposed to prolonged chemical attack. Available in seven sizes, they accommodate a broad range of vessel sizes from small reaction vials to larger beakers.
