Multifunctional Thermostatic Water Bath Shaker – Faithful | FWS-30
The Faithful FWS-30 multifunctional thermostatic water bath shaker integrates two critical laboratory functions — precise temperature-controlled water bath heating and mechanical reciprocating oscillation — into a single compact instrument. This combination is particularly valuable in applications where samples must be maintained at a stable temperature while simultaneously being agitated, such as cell culture and microbial cultivation, dissolution testing of pharmaceutical formulations, enzymatic reaction incubation, fermentation processes, and biochemical assays where oxygen transfer through agitation is critical.
The water tank is constructed from mirror-polished stainless steel for corrosion resistance, hygiene, and ease of cleaning, while the upper cover is also mirror stainless steel. The outer shell uses cold-rolled steel with electrostatic powder coating, and polyurethane insulation minimises heat loss and maintains temperature stability with reduced energy consumption. Heating is provided by a stainless steel heater, and temperature is regulated by an LCD PID intelligent controller with PT100 sensing, achieving excellent stability with a temperature motion of ±0.1°C and uniformity of ±0.2°C — performance figures significantly better than standard water baths.
The reciprocating oscillation mechanism is driven by a crankshaft combined with a double-link and four-wheel system, providing smooth, low-noise operation across a frequency range of 20 to 180 r/min. The factory-set amplitude is 16 mm, with 24 mm available as an alternative configuration. Oscillation speed is controlled and displayed independently via a dedicated LCD controller mode, with a Hoare-type speed sensor providing accurate feedback. The standard shock basket accommodates flask sizes up to 500 mL in the largest individual format.
Both temperature and oscillation parameters are set via touch buttons, and a shared timer covers 0 to 9999 minutes with fixed value operation, auto stop, and quick stop-start capability. Safety functions include over-temperature alarm, water level full or shortage protection, and motor shaft lock protection for unattended operation.
